Sourcing Loaded Longboards Provides Customers Many Pluses

By Jason Sauro

In order to combine skateboarding and surfing, an individual can try using the Loaded longboards. The boards look almost like a skateboard with wheels and trucks and flat boars, but they have increased length and width. They have flared tails that allow for greater maneuverability and greater stability. Each board has a different kind of flex which serves various intentions.

Each rider needs to ensure that they are wearing the proper safety gear so that if an incident happens, there is some protection of the rider himself. He can choose between a half shell helmet which covers the top and back of his head or he can use a full cut helmet which covers the back and top of the head and the ears. This helmet is commonly used by wake boarders or kayakers, but it's become a safer alternative for skateboarders.

There are different boards available for different purposes for example the Slalomer board is for skaters who weave in and out of traffic. The board's wheels are softer and wider at the back so that the board can grip the pavement for balance and stability. Harder wheels are in the front that will maintain speed and resistance guaranteeing an exciting ride for the skater. In order to use it properly, the skater will pump his body in a continuous "S" pattern to keep moving and balanced.

Speed boards are a type of board which is aerodynamically engineered for speed. Riders wear specific gear so that there is little air resistance to encourage more speed. The board is less flexible than a normal board and its set lower to the ground to establish stability and balance.

There are some techniques that an individual can employ when having fun on his board. If an individual learns on downhill orientated elongated boards to ride down hills at very high speeds. One has to be skillful to undertake this technique therefore; an individual needs to know how to drift, slide and air brake.

If necessary the individual has to know how to come to a complete stop if necessary. Speed boards are made to be longer and wider to ensure traction, speed and stability. The board will be set lower to the ground and the wheels will be small to medium size; the back being slightly bigger and softer to grip the ground better and the front will reduce resistance and increase speed.

When using these boards the key tool for the rider is his body. He will undulate his body as he skates to ensure additional mobility and stability. In order to keep mobile, he needs to carve and pump his body in an "S" shaped motion.

Placement of the feet is also important. The legs must be spread wide apart and the feet need to be angled at about 45 degrees. This will keep the rider balanced and upright.

If one uses a speed board, then it's best to spread the legs a bit wider to take up the carved stance. The board will be easier to manipulate when in a surfer's stance. Once the basics have been learned then an individual can go out and learn new tricks and methods to have more fun on their Loaded longboards. There is no doubt that this sport is growing exponentially.
